Description
I took this photograph at Sopot Beach in Gdansk, Poland. It originally is not such a dark, black and white and sad image. But during the editing process something happened and I ended up with this piece of work - a beautiful yet lonely white swan that is all melancholically pondering about the world while swimming off into the dark ocean. Lost in his thoughts, he feels sad, depressed and alone - swimming even deeper into total darkness, forgetting everything around him, not being able to think straight any more, because that's what depression does to you. There's the next dark wave already waiting to swoop over the pretty white swan.
BUT out of frame of the picture there is this other swan! He is already on its way to catch up with its partner - he doesn't know it yet, but he will bring the pretty white swan back to reality, ground him and make him feel better by just being next to the sad white swan.
If you are feeling trapped inside your head, please reach out to someone, you are not alone.
On the other hand, if you know a person with depression, try to be there for him/her - sometimes you don`t even have to say anything to make things better, JUST be there for support.

This image and its title drew me to a closer look, and then your description brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for entering this piece into the "Feeling Deflated" contest.

Thank you so much for your comment, Wendy :) It brought tears to my eyes writing it as well, but at the same time I'm very proud of the image because it was my first edited image with a real and emotional message behind it.
